Any attacks you have stored don't turn into death drains though.

Not the biggest fan of battles either, I can see when they were trying to do, but they're just frustrating and annoying.

I also read somewhere it counts everything (power ups, missed notes, etc.) from the previous round. But tbh I play Pro-Face Off usually cos I really don't like Battles.

I got this on PS2 as a gift and was pretty much playing it all weekend. Big mistake! Only played the first one but I sold it since it was gathering dust so my left pinky has been given a very hard beating. I realised this when it sorta seized up hurt a lot during a bit of Muse on Expert. Grr... I wanna keep playing :(

Yay! My initial fears were incorrect, practice and bit of time has meant I am now 5*-ing most of the tracks on Normal! I'm not such a sausage fingered goon as I first thought!

BTW: the extra encores in co-op, can these be won without having someone in the same room, i.e. over the t'internet?

ya after playing on easy i tried on medium and can pass all but TTFAF. but only could 5* like 1 or two. went through the whole career mode on medium yesterday afternoon and 5* alot of songs. if i played osme of them a few times id do better but i just wanted to pass.

i think with a little practise ill be able to pass TTFAF on medium.

You can play all songs co-op online but there's no online co-op career if that's what you want to do. They might be making a patch for that.

So does that mean I couldn't unlock Sabotage and the others? There's some really good tracks in co-op! Also, did I read somewhere you can access the GH2 tracks via the Marketplace? I've not been on LIVE to check as I'm at me mams house for Christmas.

I think you can put that "no fail" cheat and just do the co-op by yourself and another controller plugged in. I haven't tried it myself but that's what I've read on some forums.

I don't mind bleeding... I'm more worried about it just falling off completely :hehe:

You've probably worked this out already now anyway, but you can use the cheat to un-lock the co-op tracks:

I just got GHIII for my 360 today (yes, I do still have it on the Wii too, I understand it's an addiction) and I have to say I'm disappointed with Microsoft. On the Wii & ps3 you can link your account up to guitarhero.com and play against people for free, but you need a Gold account to do this on the 360. That's just unfair! Probably just going to play through and get as many achievements as I can before I get stuck at the same point I always do, then sell it on :)

I need to get GH3, really enjoyed GH2 (on both the 360 and PS2) In fact I went back to GH2 on the 360 sunday night (managed to get the achievement for unlocking all the songs in the process). I was tempted to pick up Rock the 80's as they were selling them off cheapish in Tesco last time I was there.

Rock the 80s has a few good tracks on there, but I only ever play about 5 off there now I've unlocked them all.

GH3 is great, it's both easier and harder than GH2 and 1, hammer ons and pull offs are very easy, so long as your finger is on the button when a HO/PO comes up, the note will play, so you can have your finger there a full second before the note comes up (whereas on GH2 you had to hammer on roughly as the note came up).

However the songs are harder that GH2 so it kind of balances out, I do find GH3 to be the easier of the series (but the boss battles are stupidly annoying, I've been stuck on the devil on hard for ages now, I've 5 stared most of the songs on hard now and I still can't beat him, I've even almost reached him on expert)

I certainly don't find GHIII as fun as I did GHII. I'm really missing the good songs from the extra list, but then I heard the same bands are back on RockBand so I just have to keep waiting for that.

Rock the 80s isn't that great, only thing it's really any good for is blasting your way through it because for some reason it's the easiest in the entire series. Oh and trying to play 'Holy Diver' without laughing at the lyrics. Oh Dio... what were you on! :hehe:

    But holy diver is awesome!

Ride the tiger! You can see his stripes but you know he's clean! Oh don't you know what I mean!

I had some song credits on itunes that were due to expire, so I just bought that song last night (Killswitch Engage not Dio though) along with Alice Cooper's Billion Dollar Babies and Hearts' Crazy (from the Guitar Hero section).
