Whoa. Who is trying to confiscate your guns? Put the weed down now. It's making you paranoid.

All that is proposed are some measures to make sure only responsible, competent people own guns and that there is some way of keeping track of them. That seems to me as logical as making sure you've learned to handle one and storing it in a secure place at home with the safety on and the clip unloaded. Again, responsible gun owners shouldn't have a problem with this.

They are primarily designed as weapons. You yourself keep them as weapons. You may get recreational enjoyment of firing at targets but you argue your right to own guns on the basis of the right to self-defense, not the right to have fun.
