ive head of some sort of suction cup thing that can take dent out but im not sure if itd work on dents that arent too big. i know what its like to have your car smahed by idiots in a parking lot. a few ears ago my parents bought a car and just a few weeks later someone decidec to park beside and i guess see how fast they could open their door. there was huuuge dent. normally houd just geta small dent adn stuff but this was big! i mean how come pepl be that retarded to not notice and not care about other peoples cars. luckily it was in the rear quarter and my dad pushed the dent out from other side. it shoulnt matter how close you park to smeone smashing your door into somone else should never happen. at school someonetimes i'll park between two cars and there is just a foot between me and the other cars but i just gently open the door an rest it against the otther car if a need to. and other people at school are like that too for the most part. but i always try to give room so the car that has their driver door beside me and more room incase they are morons.

ayways expaning foam in the exhaust pipe (LOTS OF IT) and anything you can find in the gas tank (water, salt, Pepsi, stones, etc..) :D

If his car is as beat up as you say it is, he's got nothing to lose by you starting a fight where you both damage each other's cars, so don't start one. If you key his car, he'll just go and do something worse to yours. Politely ask him to be more careful and possibly pay (a little bit, don't ask for like $2,000 for a brand new paint job, ask for $50 for touch-up paint and getting someone to hammer out the dents). If he doesn't, then ask the landlord for a different parking spot.

brutal. I'm pretty sure someone slashed one of my tires once. my first car. Which didn't make any sense, it was a 14 year old toyota.

Maybe you should start searching for a better place to live - once you move out, it would be nice to pour a couple of bottles of brake fuild all over that truck so the whole thing rusts, then dump a bag of sugar in the tank, slash all the tyres, even the spare, or maybe just set the thing on fire
If you get caught and get in trouble then don't blame me tho :worried:

A ball-pein hammer from the otherside will quickly and neatly remove even the small sharp dents very effectively. alternatively putty them and paint over.
Don't ever move to france...although it's a legal requirement there to leave a note after even small dings, they have a habit of not caring:p

    • First get photographic evidence, this will make any claim much easier.
    • Then go talk to the guy, he might want to give you money instead of having to make a claim

Agreed. Make sure you have the photo evidence. Then maybe even try to get it on video if it's at all possible. Of course, this is me just being nice. Hit my vehicle and somebodys getting hurt. I come from the old school of don't mess with a mans ride! You just don't do it. Period.

Complete and utter disrespect for your fellow being's belongings. These types of brainless evolutionary culdesacs should be taken out back and shot. These types really peev me off. Good god, how hard is it to just watch where you open the door as opposed to wildly swinging it open like a blind wrestler with a folding chair?! You could either talk to the guy nicely at first, and see what he does. If he continues to be a twit, firmly but nicely request that he watch what he's doing. After that, it's grounds for retaliation in one form or another. Just give the guy a chance to do the right thing. Or you could park somewhere else if possible.

    Edit:
Messing with another's vehicle is like messing with their girlfriends; it just isn't right!

Agreed as well, confront the man with the photographic evidence and talk to him, if he makes a situation out of it then threaten him with a claim and (if applicable) getting the cops involved, and if everything goes to hell, make a claim out of it, and if that fails take him to court for vandalism.

I cant do anything at the moment. I'm at work right now and wont be back till next thursday.
One thing that really makes me mad, my insurance company never got back to me. Usually they contact me in a few hours if i need something.
not happy, if i wasn't getting a good rate with them i would switch.

of course if i wasn't getting a good rate i would switch anyway...

Aye, photographic evidence, try and get some very close-up shots as well. as in focus as possible (pointing out the obvious but some peopel don't think of it)

Peopel can have no respect, I own a fairly beaten up car, lots of dents (non of them my fault) However someone reversed into it while it was parked the other day (i'm guessing in a van due to the angle) and bent the entire front of the car, the headlights had to be bent back into line, the bumpers cracked, the radiator mounts are off slightly, and the bonnet doesnt open properly. Life goes on i suppose...

I'd have a chat to the bloke is as friendly a-way as possible. You wouldn't run into a mates car, but you might think twice about being careful round that annoying bloke who shouted at you... if you get my point.

Good luck though, and have you considered lining the car with foam?

god, i was at work today outside the camp. i noticed that one of the a/c units had been smashed into. They aren't that big so i could almost understand someone not seeing it, but they are up against the building.
I hope that whoever hit it has to deal with no a/c this summer. There needs to be manditory testing for intelligence before we give out a drivers licence. it seams like any idiot is able to get one.

Whilst i sympathise - i'd say you have to talk before action. but take photos first. If he proves a ned/chav then revenge is fair game imho. the foam in exhaust sounds ok - but he's gonna be miffed - you could always do his car - then do yours with a teeny amount then be "the annoyed" victim (but don't start car) and complain to him. He'll deny it but his anger at you will dissapear when his rent-a-wreck fails to start!

But there are risks with everything we do.. His exhaust could fill with fuel & explode etc. He could need to take someone to emergency room Quick etc.. ie could be some bad unforseen things over some car scratches. Would it be worth it? I think if retrobution is needed (and sometimes it is ) then its best something that hurts him personally such as parkingfees etc?

In case you need to phone the police, make sure you do it first. My brother had a similar problem and had to he was immediately known as the victim (my brother). My dad always says whoever phones the police first is always the victim in there eyes. My dads a soliciter so he knows thats not always the case.

I suggest doing both deeds to the person who is responsible. I suggest kicking him where it hurts. If you know what I mean.

but to be blunt, i'd weld his doors shut completely.
