I never had time to finish your SP character cheaps Don't worry though, he lost the bra.
Cheaps that bottle looks sick, excellent work.
Cheaps, what is that router bit?!
@Delta - Holy cr*p! That's awesome! It's a good thing I can't read the instructions. I want one now.
@Oliver - I sent Kyle one after the podcast. The fear of how I would be portrayed if I left it to someone else drove me to it.
@djay - It's a 90 degree drill point mill bit. I specifically chose a bit that was the same size as the shank so it could be plunged past the cutting blades.
I've started work on the reservoir. I lost track and never posted an update on the model...
-This should do unless I come up with something better.
Cheaps that's looking AMAZING! Excellent work
I haven't built it yet. Hold your applause until I find out if I can pull it off. (Thanks, BTW)
I have nothing but the highest level of faith in your ability to pull this off. You are, after all, the Plexiglass King
Wohaa if you can make that look like the 3D file its going to be amazing!
The holes in the fins on the side of the reservoir, just for looks or is something going to run trough it?
Cheaps is going to be quite strong after this build. This case is going to be heavy to the max!
@Azayles - I'm not the king. I'd like to have access to the plexiglas king. I'd set myself up as a plexiglas cardinal and have him send me plexiglas tribute...Maybe use my influence to gain an audience with the CNC tzar...
@TotalGaos - I have the accordion bottle seated in one. The rest are camouflage for all the mounting and alignment holes. You know they will end up as a pencil holder someday, though.
@Djay - I have lots of moving equipment, and the base was set up to be a carpet sled.
Far to modest How about, undisputed Plexiglass Champion?
The CNC King/Tzar/God has to be G69T, so I dunno, you might be able to talk to him lol.
You pray to him, actually.
I could translate that for you, just to push your want factor up!
Gone for a couple of days and all this happens?!
@bad Cancer - NO!
@Perplekks - You were gone? That explains why my thread didn't get bumped (as much.)
This is a tiny update, but the time involved was insane. I kept getting hijacked. I even glued the billet to the MDF upside down.
-First, I made this square for the barb area. I decided I don't need it now.
-The billet is made out of scraps. I was worried that they wouldn't be glued together well enough. A well-placed air pocket in a reservoir wall = leakage.
At some point the mill has been bumped. The scratch in the paper I use to zero the Z axis isn't even. I need to re-adjust the arm.
-I was wondering at this point if I had gotten the cut too close to the edge.
-This is one hour into the process. I realized I had slowed the feed rate down too much too. I had a meltdown in the bottom of the intake hole before I realized my mistake.
-One hour, 45 minutes. Have I used the word 'grueling' yet?
-Finally, the first part of the reservoir...is still not finished. I need to bore out the holes for the barbs, and tap them.
-I love the fit I got on this. It stays in place with just friction.
-It's a pity I couldn't get the tubes in the same material. They really stand out next to that green puck.
Next up, I need a bunch more plastic- to make spacers and discs that will be part of the res core. For now...BED!
Thanks again to my sponsors!
Awesome work, Cheaps. Looking good.
Sorry... will bump it more often from now on.
Great work though... as usual, mate!
Wow looking good! Already looking forward to your next update..
@perplekks - It's OK.
"Does anyone here have a 1/4"BSPP(G1/4) pipe threading die?"
Do you still need the die? I can check my lab to see if we have one laying around (we probably do).
