You gonna take that sitting down Cheaps?
I think Djayness just called you tubby Cheaps :O
Nice work buddy I finally finished your SP character btw
Note the location too
I was hoping to never see that...
I don't have a beard, BTW...
Good GOD at that SP character. Scared the CRAP outta me!
I've seen cheaps and thats not even close, hmm.. except for the day-glow red skin
What? I thought I was the one playing drums?
-This is last week's battle zone.
-Slipperyskip steals his wife's emery boards. I needed something a bit bigger for this job. I built the fingernail file of the Gods. I think I use five gallon paint mixing sticks for everything but mixing paint. One end of the stick rests on the other frame rail to keep the sanding level.
-I'm milling a new reservoir top here. Why?
-Well it has something to do with this fill cap I put together...
-I still need to drill a tiny hole in the bottom so air pressure can get to the accordion bottle, but you get the idea here.
-Anyway... The problem is I tried a new tapping block I made, and it didn't work. When you are tapping something this thin, one blade likes to catch and start cutting at a crazy angle.
-TL;DR - I tapped it crooked. I also forgot to sand out the channel before gluing it, so I decided to just do it over.
-Once done, I had a huge mess.
-I leave you this pic as evidence that I do clean up my work area. Even if this room is technically the doormat for the rest of the house...
-The old and the new parts, and an obligatory subliminal.
-OK. Most of this time has been about sanding and filing. I had to stop filing bevels occasionally to let the little file cool off.
-After I sanded all the bevels down to 150 grit, I evened up the splices in the frame.
-This is an example of what the frame looks like now. There is so much to sand here, I will need to mark everything up to tell what got sanded with 240 grit, etc. I'm not looking forward to it.
-The side panels look like this now. If I ever get around to polishing, this will look sweet.
-On the virtual side, I'm still trying to organize the insane mess so I can get it cut out. Have I ever mentioned I hate puzzles where the parts are all exactly the same?
Thanks again to my sponsors
This is why I like you cheaps. Your plexi work is amazing.
Man how much acrylic pr0n can that thread has? ;P Cheaps if you have some time can you show us around that machine you have there and do all these nice things along with bits techniques etc please? That would be very nice man! Thanks!
Your plexi work is impressive. And the shape you are trying to create are impressive.
@angel - I thought I went over that. OK, I'll try to go into heavy detail on the CNC process when I do the reservoir fins.
Can I get the case for free if I stop trolling you & your threads?
This is gorgeous!
Looking really good cheaps, I love your acrylic work .
The wife gave up and just buys me my own fingernail files now. A purely defensive maneuver. I like the paint stirrer idea. I will "file" that away for future use. (Ugh...sorry).
the success of the pun, is in the oy of the beholder.....
Great idea on the super nail file.
Oups sorry mate I didnt notice that ! ;p
Anwz it would be nice to post something like a small review on the bits you use, more tips and tricks, ya know! Just to keep my learning curiosity from being hungry Its always nice to learn from the best. Again sorry for not noticing those infos. Thanks!

@Angel - Not the best. I just post what I learn, as I learn it.
@Cleveland & DJay - Well I started the log in June. If you include the drawing phase, It's been over a year now. 34 pages, 100,000 hits... I need to add a directory to post one.
-Maybe an index of troll posts too?
