    Thanks, everyone.:D
    @Azayles - :hehe:
    @Nicksen - I've heard of it...
@Talledega - What ONE thing suddenly triggered that comment?
@Oldnewby - We'd love to have you in the contest, even for just a rough design. New faces bring new ideas. It'd also give everyone a little peek inside your brain.:D
-I'm not sure about using it for a paperweight. You'd need a framed pic of Austin Powers posing with it too. (Ouch! It's only a 7 inch res! -Nope, use it in a computer or hide it!:hehe:)

Do you really want to do that, Cheaps? ;)

This will be one of the most stunning PCs ever built... hell, it already is!

 There isn't a PC in it yet. It's more of a box with powered ventilation at this point.

I have a question for all the semantics nazis out there who think that GwassGween isn't a case mod...Does a case mod have to have a computer in it to be considered a case mod?

I would surmise that a case mod refers to the case itself, and not necessarily any computer that may or may not be contained therein. :p

Case mod - mods done on an existing case.

Scratch build - case (or something else) built from the ground up. This is Grassgreen.

EDIT: No, I don't think a computer is a requisite. Some folks do cool stuff to external disk drives and such. That has a case - makes it a case mod in my book.

Am I the only one who, with all the sidetracking that's going on here, has a slightly hard time following this mod? :)

Cheaps, are there are "I want it to look like this - in a perfect world"-drawings somewhere that you could post to bring me back on track with your build?

So if anyone answers your question then the good joke is that their a Semantic Nazi!:eyebrow: I thought a case mod was where you buy an off the shelf box and carve away at it until you've got something you were looking for but nobody sells. Then the next thing you know that's not quite right for you either, next progression is you build a "Scratch" from the ground up. Which ever and what ever this build is a beauty!

I believe that this is a scratch build and in my mind, that is a whole lot harder to do than case modding.

Anyone can paint a house but very few people can build them.

    Thanks, everyone.:D
@slipperyskip - :hehe: Just look at what you have done! -Everyone's getting philosophical about it.
@Nutman - I'm getting confused too. Enjoy the ride for now. The UV green res is a prize for the MNPCTech Design competition #5. The UV red/blue stuff is for Bloo's rebuild. The case should look something like this:
-Just imagine a solid plastic spiral in the center of the reservoir. The pump is getting re-designed when I successfully mold a grommet.

@Djayness - Your analogy is pretty close to reality here. I haven't built a foundation or roof yet, but I think I've done everything else. -Wait, I will never touch an electrical box installation.:hehe:

-Ok, on the GG side, I finished polishing the fins. I just have to sand and polish roughly 80 little spacers and I can glue them together.
-I had a mild success with the grommet casting, but it's not good enough for me. I swiped a tube of kiddie lip balm for this one. -chocolate flavored.:hehe: (What a terrible idea.)
Next I will be trying a mold made of hot glue. Nothing sticks to that stuff! I know silicone doesn't.
-I decided a week was long enough for this set of billets to cure.
-I'm due a major cleanup, but I have been putting it off until everything gets milled.
-The fuzz bucket is getting full.
-I'm getting signs the 3/8 bit is getting dull. On this session it made a pile of cool Easter sea urchins.
-Here's a classic, "I didn't think this out," moment. There was some on the fly clamp changing in this session.
-I tapped all the parts seen here, then looked around for a while for the Bloo res center section billets. I seem to have forgotten to cut those out.
-Uh, oh... someone's building without a plan again! I have no clue what this res will look like.
-I started gluing the top section of the green res together.

...and that's all for today. Say Hi to my sponsors!

I have no idea what you're doing anymore or where you're going with it...but who cares! I love me some acrylic.

I also love the nice beige optical drive touch. Retro.
