Not my domain but I will agree with you buddy that the reason for the broken bit, has to do with the toughness of the material or even the speed of the cut process. Maybe a different kind of bit , different speed or something? Good luck with this cursed block! :)

No. They set up shop on top of the local bank building and enjoy the plentiful roadkill. -Glad it's not my bank...

 I have to use my quote links to find my current build. -Talk about slow!

I have THREE whole pictures this time.:duh: It's a lot of work, but not much to look at.
-First up, I got the optical cage seated, and after a ton of filing, I can open it too. I still need to cut a top panel for this, but it's sitting nice and flush.
-In the up position. There's just enough room to access the USB port. The latches can be adjusted by tightening the screws that hold it together. My only worry now is stress on the case around the latch mount.
-I got half of the fins polished on the last grill. I've been sneezing blood because of the sanding dust lately. :worried:
I have some copper chopped out for another try at the mosfet block. I'm just waiting for the garage to warm up a little...
    Thanks again.:D

Every time I sand anything, aluminum, acrylic, etc., I now put a handkerchief over my face (if I don't have a mask). This was after I was blowing aluminum specks out of my nose for a week.

    Thanks!:D
@Achron - There's a limit to how often you can have a rag over your face. Aluminum dust doesn't settle on everything in the house.:hehe:

lol, my wife has yelled at me for that. I have to do most of my main sanding outside or in a sealed room in my basement.

Keep on keeping on. I love this build.Oh and sending you a PM in regards to putting fittings into customer reservoirs. I need some sage advice.

Get a mask, brother, or you'll breathe like me soon. You really don't want that. All your modding time/money/energy would be gone.

Awesome project I hope & am sure you hope to see completed at some point cheaps :D.

This is 1 of many reasons why I stopped using a dremel, too much nasty dust after a modding session, nostrils caked in crap because I used to get in extremely close to the work, definitely not nice, feel a bit crap for a couple days while it works it's way out of you & because it thoroughly dries the nostrils out & is abrasive dust also is why it can make it raw & possibly bleed, I always washed my face after little sessions & flushed water through the nose & gave them a good clean so it doesn't just rest there, good face protector & respirator that actually does what it's supposed to can be painfully expensive though & with me wanting to build a nice tool arsenal to make things I otherwise wouldn't be able to or at least easier :D I see the respirator which costs about what a few nice tools would & being on budget I always go for tools which I'll probably regret eventually but haven't had nostrils filled with nastiness or fast moving bits shooting towards the eyes since my dremel days why the heck do fast moving bits seem to have squidgy eye seeking projectiles, like heat seeking missiles for the eyes :hehe:.

I think 1 of the best things any company could sponsor a modder with is a good powered respirator face mask, the only jobs I do now which get dusty are using the disc sander & polishing everything else is nice & clean & the disc sander when used correctly pumps the dust downwards away from you but I should make a mud guard for the polisher, it currently throws everything up in the face so I use it at arms length & stepped to the side so I dodge it all :D still have to scrub hands hard to get metal dust completely off the hands so another good thing to get would be gloves, be good for the work piece too :D.

I've had that before though where so much metal dust gets up the nose that it made me bleed a smidge, not good but wowzers powered respirators are expensive like a new premium tool expensive but it's well worth it if doing these things regular, had a sample of one & it is awesome, nice fresh air with full head protection while doing mucky work, throw away ones seem quite useless to me & always make safety glasses steam up making you blind to what your working on, shame decent respirators cost hundreds & even over a grand :eeek:.

    edit:
The other option to a nice respirator is a nice mud guard stopping the polisher from kicking all the crap at you :thumb:.
