Windows Gzip?

    How do you gzip a file? Putty wont unrar files that arnt gzipped (.rar.gz)

    putty is a win32 ssh/telnet client....
    use winrar to extract it in windows, unless you're trying to extract something on a machine you're connected to using putty?
    are you sure its .rar.gz, not .tar.gz?

    are you trying to extract it on your pc or on a remote machine that you're connecting to with putty?
