i have this case... what i am wanting to do.. i havent yet recieved the case. but i want to take some h.r. giger pictures and put under the plexi. also stealth the drives with diferent pics per bay. my questions are 1. how do yo think it will look. 2. it will have blue led's thinking maybe now green would have been better... will the blue still look good. 3. also i thought about painting the inside of the case but not sure what color.. any suggestions.. blue light inside as well. black.. blue.. or what.. thanks
Wish I could read that article, nice pics thought. I was always a fan of the black theme... 1. Till we see pics of the finished product can't see what it would look like. 2. Hmmm your right green would look kewl, but bloo is ok too. 3. For the inside of the case, maybe a light green, or for a higher contrast a red. But I've always been good at clashing colors...hehe Can't wait for some pics...
It would keep burglars out of your room, they should have mounted servos in its fingers so they would twitch with HDD activity...
I used to have a couple of coffee table books with his art. It was great seeing people look through it. They all got this "IT IS TIME TO GO AND PLEASE DON'T EVER TALK TO ME AGAIN FREAKBOY!!!!111" look on their face.
That case at Craft 464 is undoubtably one of the most unique and beautiful I've seen, similar to this one , but I think I like it better, in that its not a commercial effort, just a one off. I know they may not appeal to most people, but I really appreciate seeing peoples efforts to break the mold and rework/rebuild the dimensions and look of their case, or create them from scratch, like the Macro Black. Personally, I'd like to get hold of an old Osilloscope and rebuilt that as a case, preserving the original look as much as possible...just trying to find one in decent condition that doesn't sost a fortune.
Welcome to the boards, mc909. I don't know what constitutes a fortune for you, but check out this link: http://www.sphere.bc.ca/test/tek1.html or for parts: http://www.sphere.bc.ca/test/tekparts.html at the bottom of that one, they say they have lots of salvage, I would bet you they'd sell you a case for cheap. They're even in the right country.
the best thing i have found to add depth is car body filler suprisingly, it is farly mouldable & it can get ris of those silly curves in the front of your case that make it hard to get fan ducts &grills mounted proprly, but thats a rant for another day
