Ship it to whom? Who would want a "Suppose", "What if?f",, "Because we could!" old man's project?
It's made it this far by the support of the BT community.:thumb::rock:

    Feb 2nd My lady/wife Marilyn's birthday.

Didn't get much actual modding done but I got some sketch work done in my journal.
I've been installing XP and a ton of games on a PC we are building for a 10 year old girl. She is in need of a kidney transplant and really likes young kid's games.

    Anyway.
I'm ditching the steel MB plate and just going with Lian-Li stand offs into the plexi base plate. I'm shrinking the size a few mm here and there which won't cause any problems for the beauty panels since I can trim them.

I will probably lose most of the external frame alum. angle pieces. I plan to keep enough angle parts to support the rear I/O area and the rad. Parts will still be in same layout just 'smallerized'.

The CF beauty panels will get the alum angles to make a box shape and the goal is to be light tight at the seams and only see through the future -to-be-determined windows.

I may have been a Hell's Angel for 2 years but Toys for Tots runs and several of the brothers were well able to fill a Santa suit left me with a soft side. Marilyn has been exploiting that since 1975. [IMG]

Hell, I'd have a Guinness with you for free, John. If you want, I'd be glad to buy you a Guinness in extra for the board. :D

Seriously, keep it. Only one in the world, man! Besides, it has Cheap's handiwork on it as well.

I guess I'll just have to go back to it when I get this Vivarium done for a client

Build a vivarium dog says! It'll be fun dog says! Try it dog says!
Who in their right mind needs a computer controlled paludarium? Too lazy to turn the lights on and off?

Pics of H2O-C7 or pics of PDF tanks under construction? Nothing new on H2O-C7. Making Poison Dart frog palaces. Watching the moss to grow. Patience is a virtue wasted on the old.

    Is this idea gonna work?

As I have mentioned, I have gotten STIFFED out of some real money by an eBay seller that eBay removed. I ordered a SSHD for H2o-C7 from the seller and eBay canceled his status.

    So...

In my misspent youth I was a customer and even a part time Holiday employee of CompUSA - yeah that place - employee discount thing. So anyway I get a catalog from them today with stuff. Mostly overpriced and nothing I need, but on the back cover is a Kanguru e-Flash 32Gb eSATA and USB drive.
Now, do you guys think that this could be incorporated into my tiny project?
    Question:
Can I boot off of an eSATA drive?

At my price of $99.99 for 32 Gb this seems a reasonable substitute for what I need to do. Small Linux distro - our H2O-C7 is running gOS now off of HDD.

eSata = sata with a slightly diffrent connector. can probley take the drive out of the case and just use it as a normal sata drive.

eSata is just a sata drive with a strange connector on the ssd side. Should work.

e-SATA stands for "external SATA", developed for use with external drives, you should get the same speeds as a normal internal SATA drive due to the external drive attaching to an internal sata port. Much quicker than USB or firewire. I dunno if you can boot off it though.
