I've got a Corsair H60 cooling my PC (single fan) and I've had the PC stop during boot-up and tell me that the "CPU fan" is low RPM (and the mobo - Asus P8P67 R3 deluxe) is reporting something like 860 RPM .

I know on the face of it, it sounds like the fans dying; but does it really mean the fan's stuffed or is it more likely to be the pump in the H60 (no particularly unusual noises etc from the PC? What's the best way of telling for sure? Never overclocked the system etc to-date.

    Thanks!

Depends on what is plugged into the CPU fan header - that is what the motherboard is detecting.
