I like this one. I haven't been a fan of the rust pc fad, besides piloux work, but this is good.
I do agree with the suggestion to drop the rubber around the window though. Would look better without it.
Do try and bring some new ideas to the case though.
mmmmm looks very good, i love the bullet holes on the window, looks so real, keep up the good work man looks so good
another half life case mod but whatever, your case still looks freaking great
At the Weekend i worked on the Fan-Control. At the Standby-Mode the color of each controler is orange. On maximum they will change to red.
Here you see the basic structure. Where
Here i arranged the front. To see the final stage.
Later i will install front-grasps to protect the front-panel.
Later i will change the color of the frontpart to get the same color on all parts of the case.
Thanks for the advice to remove the rubber. But i worked not so exactly to arrange the plexi without the rubber (its not a rubber, its only a Edge protection). But i will consider that problem
Cutting out the mesh on the door and putting the screen in with the HL2 logo is sweeeeeet! love it. But how did you make the little HL2 logo so clean and nice looking? Mod on
Thanks. I cut out the HL2-Logo with a simple carpetcutter. The material: In germany we call it "Balsaholz". Its a kind of wood, but very softly.
I used the first one.
How you make this holes?
First you have to bore a hole (diameter 9mm)
After that you have to "dremel" some big tears and scratches (away from the hole). Afterwards you have to "dremel" some small tears and scatches from the in- and outside to get more realistic look. After that you can roughen up the in- and outside with wire brush. Last you have to dab some paint into the hole and scratches to get an old and realistic look. Thats it. Very easy.
Here in the States the wood would be called "Balsa wood."
Thanks. Ok, its Balsawood
Here some more pictures from my left window.
And a "Zoom-Picture" from the shots.
mmmmmmm k now i have to ask, could you like a guide or tell us how you made those beuatyiful bullet holes?
He explained it quickly a few posts up. But I would also love a nice, detailed guide filled with step by step pictures.
sorry bout that my stupidy must have gotten the best of me, must resit him, but it's just so easy to be stupid (like rabling on like i am right now *slap*)
Many thanks to Butterkneter for his great idea and guide.
The case looks awesome, and the bullet holes are the most realistic ones I´ve ever seen.. good job!
It's HL 2 mania
I like front very much! The old console and the rust theme in connection look's nice However I don't like the bullethole at the bottom... It's too big for me. She can be smaller and the plexi grill will be look better...
And what you wanna do with interior?
Thanks at all
I planned a classic aircooling, instead of watercooling. Because a watercooling-system weighs much more than a aircooling-system (its a Lan-Case). Nevertheless i planned a kind of tank with an UV-Fluid into
Ok, tonight i planned to remove the rubber around the window
I love that window.
Looks kind of familiar to me . . . .
Here is where a lot of ideas came from.
Whoah thats an awsome case (the linked one where the ideas come)
I like that just about as much as Piloux's Black Mesa case!!
Sweet whoever did that!
