    Heya :)

This year i want a really good halloween costume. I was thinking of going as indiana jones, but the stuff he wears is sooooooo expensive. I waswondering if anybody knew of any good alternatives that may be a bit cheaper but just as cool :)

    Cheers"

bogo, go down to armstrongs on clerk street (they have another shop too, but i cant remember the name of the street). They will have loads of stuff in there for various costumes.

There's an armstrongs on the grassmarket as well which is a bit bigger. Always worth a try. There's also various joke shops around there if you're really stuck, but they're a bit more expensive.

I know of Party Mania in West Nicholson Street (off Clerk Street) and another place on the curve of Victoria Street. You're best bet would be to look in the Yellow pages (or yell.co.uk) as there are several other places (Morrison Street if I remember correctly) in the city centre that do fancy dress stuff.

A mate of mine is going as Mel B, Bo Selecta style. Now that is a great costume idea!

I need to think of a better one for myself now :sigh:

Couple of years ago I had my eye doctored with makeup to look like I got punched and it had blackened.

I then cut out a capital letter "P" and hung it around my neck...

I was a "black eyed pea"....

    hehehehe
cheap, creative, and got the desired reactions!

my six month old son is going as a gorilla, we bought this really cute gorilla suit. I really wanted to go as a banana. I thought it'd be great a giant banana holding a little mini gorilla :D But I neither have the time to make one or the money to rent/buy one.... So all the attention will go to my son! As it should he is very cute after all :)
