Can't wait, I just hope I'm able to d/l it okay when I get home from work (especialy with all the stress the XBL network will go through - That and my less than brilliant connection :/)

 

I'm praying that it'll be on the servers before 9am, then I'll start it off, go to work for 2 meetings (10am and 2pm) then run home and play!

 

Looking at Bungie.net we have 21 hours and 5 minutes to go, so... about 12pm tomorrow then?

I heard it;s only available to download on wednesday, although that could be me being confused or misinformation.

 

I had heard that quite a few times from a fair few places, but looking on Bungie.net H3Beta faq

So looking at the last bit, you might be ok downloading on Thursday.

Just wondering, will i have to launch the game with crackdown in the drive each time i wanna play the BETA? Also how long does the BETA last? less than 1month? really? that all ?

 

Too bad it's a closed beta. I didn't manage to get an invite in pphase 1 or phase 2 and I have no interest in buying Crackdown (I rented it and liked it but felt there wasn't enough longevity to warrent buying it).

 

So with the Halo Beta finally launched. Are there any cheap copies of Crackdown going?? I want the game but dont want to pay £40 . With Halo beta finally here maybe it will start to see a price drop. Will be watching the high street shelves these following weeks.

I want crackdown and not the beta. I believe the game has stayed at the £40 mark because of the Halo invite.

 

So do you get a code or somethign for this? I rented the game a while back but it just came in the usual paper sleeve.

 

Well aparantly theres an option in the crackdown menu to download it. I guess if there was a code it would be leaked way to easily and everyone would have it.

 

The game comes with an in-game menu option to download the Halo 3 Beta - so presumably you have to start the game to start the download.

 

I've read everywhere that you need to start Crackdown to play the game, as well as downloading it.

Soooo can't wait.

 

Yes, Crackdown is your "Key" so to speak to starting Halo3. As for the Invite people (phase 1 & 2) I have no clue as I didn't get one.

Looking through the Bungie.net site, I found this guide to the beta which might be useful:

There's also guides to the 3 maps that will be used in the beta, which should be really useful.

edit: you'll need crackdown in the drive to play H3beta. The download option in the crackdown menu changes to play H3 which is the only way to launch it.
