Pfft, add me to the halo dislike club. To this day I fail to say whats special about a fella walking about wearing an 80's bmx helmet shooting at aliens that sound like one of the three stooges.

Holy crap. You just made me feel safe due to the fact that I live in America. Mostly because you don't. :worried:

Meh, you can make that type of comment about any game.

True but theres not as many as over hyped as Halo. The Zero punctuation review sums it up perfectly for me, I dont know why but theres something about Halo that doesn't capture my imagination. Just one of those things and believe me i've been through some games in my 31 years :brrr:

Hype is a very easy thing to ignore though.

No, I find it difficult to ignore. If something's hyped to a cultural-epidemic extent (like Kill Bill) I invariably hate it JUST because so many idiotic people love it for the wrong reasons. The Sims is another good example.
Halo has done the same for me - the first game was great fun and very involving, and was the first console shooter to ever really feel better than a PC version.
Halo 2 was shinier, faster, but less intelligent.
From what I've heard, Halo 3 completes the trend - totally ordinary. To be fair, it must be SO hard to maintain originality (the elusive spark) for three games in a row, with rising anticipation each time.

The Sims was alright. Did what it said on the tin.
