i am thinking of using 2 or 3 yellow halogens to light up my case, because i cant get yellow neons etc, and the amount of leds etc soon add up, a yellow halogen is about 3 quid in maplin, i know they heat up a little but that can be sorted, any 1 used halogens b4 for a lighting effect?
They should work for lighting quite well...however they heat up a bit more than a little. I just installed little 20 watt halogen lamps under each cabinet in our kitchen....if left on for more than a couple hours they significantly heat up the interior of the cabinet and its contents... to over 90F!
