I've done some googling to try and find a replacement for my "The Overclocking Store" Hand Nibbler ... found a set in Justoffbase Tools and ordered them only to realise that they are shear nibblers and not punch nibblers... no good for me! Any one know where I can get some to replace my original (as seen on this page) after I got a bit ambitious as to what they could cut! Thanks
Ive got the coolermaster wavemaster black case with the mirror finished side pannel anyone think that a nibbler would chip that in any manner if I attacked it with one? Careful Shes Sexy
Also like to get one of these. Whats the difference between the other type, and is it much better than just using large pair of scissors. I intend to cut long/large but accurate holes in alu upto 3mm thick and copper 0.5mm thick. Also whats the reply from tekheads? I cant find any nibblers on there site...
With the hand nibbler punch tools, you just punch out the metal in squares... it leaves a very neat finish and can be used in some difficult positions. Waiting for my order to turn up to confirm it is the correct tool.
nibbles Only ones I've seen are shear nibblers.... looks like an awesome tool though, I kinda want one now as well. ~Nova~
Yes, those are shear nibblers... pretty good piece of kit, but no good for the detail work you can do withthe nibbler punch tools.
Bugger, just as tekheads actually bothered to dispatch my order! Only took them 2 days to pick and pack!
CompUSA sells those very nibblers for $10. They have worked fine on both steel and aluminum..although you must lube them when nibbling aluminum or the nibbled bits don't eject and it will jam.
i bought myne at comp usa for 10bux but I dont see em at the local place anymore. But I have seen radioshack carry em. My nibler did great work on my steel case in one of my past projects. its about 2mm thick btw(hevy case) and it chews through aluminum and coper like its butter. But one thing you gotta have a strong forearm to use it continusly. So if you have a gf u might be in truble. that tool is for the single geek.
