I've had mine for many years, Gedron was created one day when I was looking for a good name for a D&D character. I wanted it to fit the theme of the game, be unique, be easy to say, and be shortenable (is that a word?). This is what I came up with, and I think it fit my criteria pretty well. When I needed an internet handle for a BBS in Texas I was checking out (yeah, i'm old and this was before there were many web pages out there... the internet was a very different place) I borrowed my old character's name and have been using it ever since.
Let's see, I used to use the handle fahdpar23. Fahdpar was the name of an imaginary monkey my brother used to tell people online he had, and the 23 is part of the 23 phenomenon. now I just use monkeyboy. Similar theme (monkeys!), and it references Blue Monday.
well.. there is a bavarian singer.. singing "Volksmusik".. and his name was "Edo Zanki" since my last name is "zenker" my english-teacher called me first "zanki", then "edo" when he was upset about me taking pictures of him drinking beer when we were travelling with our class. so the name edo was born for me.. everybody is still calling me edo.. when i started playing cs i needed a name.. edo the cruel.. or frensh: l'edo cruel and because the name "edo" was already in use i took l'edo..
not really all that sure to be honest, i downloaded GameSpy Aracde a LONG while back *2 years ish* and at first my name was ashdogg simply because, i have a dog named *you guessed it* ASH! and i named him ASH, coz it was ash wednesday when we got him "genius at work bet none of you could have had an idea THAT good" , but anyway i got bored of that name and so out of no where popped: PrEpArE-2-DiE and its been with me for like 1.5years some of my mates from school even call me by that, im also known as P2D-shortend version *get it??* so they call me that aswell, i also have a habbit of writing "P2D" In giant letters all over the place *normally in black pen or clalk* so, you asked.. and i told P2D

Hephaistus is the name of a greek god, who was ugly as the night but was married to venus , but the most important thing about hephaistus is that he was very good at making things with his hands out of metal (gold, tin, silver, brons,...) which point out my modding skills (not really ) http://www.messagenet.com/myths/bios/hephaistos.html hephaistus = hephaistos
Ok many moons ago I worked in a Barber's sweeping up hair (£15 for 8 hours work, ouch!), and all the staff there thought I was just like Trigger, the road sweep in Only Fools and Horses. The nick just stuck from then on!
Amongst other games which I played, I used to play Mechwarrior a lot in college. Granted it wasn't as cool as Unreal Tournament, Star Craft, War Craft II, Runescape 1, or Diablo II at the time - But to me, it was just as addictive. Whenever I play MMOGs in which Paladins are an available class for a player to become, my character will eventually become a paladin. This happened in Diablo II - and in Horizons Beta. I also used to roleplay on forum based RPGs - Each of my RolePlaying characters in various forum based RPGs over the years has also eventually ended up becoming Paladins. Furthermore, A paladin (or any characters of the warrior class which has a high HP level) is the most efficient tank in a NPC Mob hunting group. A tank is the player who lures the NPC monsters (Mobs) to where the other members of the hunting party/clan are gathered, taking the most of the damage from the attack while the rest of the hunting group finishes off said monster. A Paladin is also a class of tank which is available in C&C Generals if one plays as the U.S. IRL the M109A6 Paladin is a type of Artillery tank in the United States ground forces. I'm naturally skilled at fixing machines and building gadgets, which I've done from a young age. As a boy, sometimes after watching re-runs of Star Wars, I used to pretend that I'm R2-D2, who is a mech. These days, since the work which I do involves fixing broken electronics and machinery, I spend a lot of time doing that. Lastly, I'm a fan of Star Wars - Both Jedis and Siths carries lightsabers, which are a sort of laser swords. Each time I join Star Wars based roleplaying games, I have always preferred to become a Sith than a Jedi. I also find that I have a lot of similiarities with Anakin Skywalker - who became Darth Vader. And like Vader, I also have asthma. That being said, MechPaladin also means Darth Vader.
Fizban is the name of one of my favorite characters in the DragonLance novels. He is a crotchy old man who seems to never be able to find his hat. He also has has crossed over into the DeathGateCycle books (also written by Weiss and Hickman) but his name is Zifnab, but he has no recollection of how he ended up where he is. I just really like the name Fizban when I read those books the first time (somewhere around the late 80's) and so I used it as my user name when I took my first linux class in college. And it stuck! kinda lamo I know but oh well
My name is pretty easy actually. In my senior year of high school i made a new friend that got me into Sepultura. Well in my need to know everything about the band and its members i found Soulfly. The second band by the former lead singer of Sepultura. I was listening to them alot and when i signed up for a gaming clan i shose the name Soulfly. Now almost everything i sign up for is either Soulfly or Soulfly22583.
