    What's the idea behind thanksgiving?! Being English I've never taken real notice of it but I was just curious what it was for (like Christmas is an old Pagan festival to celebrate Jebus' birthday)

    It's the same as any other holiday. Make the miserable people feel more miserable, make the happy people feel more happy, make the stressed people more stressed, make the poor feel poorer and make the rich poorer.
