Zalman heatpipe coolers (2 Hdd, 2 coolers)

My 5.25" bays are full, no 3.5 bays in my Lian Li now...airflow is much improved over the motherboard now.

I highly recommend getting just the Zalman heatpipes, it's less noisy (obviously) and works just as well.

cooling, whats that? must be one of these things for people with hard drives that are worth cooling.
I dont really see the point in cooling a quantom fireball 5400(massive 10 gig) drive myself, its been running for a good 6 years now without any cooling, so id imagine it'll be ok.

after the really hot weather last summer here in the uk fried my 30Gb <something or other>, but fourtunatly not quite enough to prevent me copying stuff off, one of my main points of interest in a new case became some kind of HD cooling.

Anyone want to buy an old 30Gb drive? ;)

My hard drive is suspended in the Cdrom bays by elastic! Same stuuf they use in trousers etc. No seek noise, lovely and quiet too. Temp is fine.

I fully agree. These boxes take a lot of nasty detail work out of modding. I wish they would sell their MB trays too, and the rails they use for the drive bays. I always wondered why there is no place that sells such parts. I can't be the only one who hates filing and nibbling sheet metal.

I've got 4 80mm fans blowing over my single drive. Better keep it cold but it has not inbuilt temp sensor for me to mesure it with
