Hey guys, i dont know why it keep happening to me but for some reason my main hard drive doesnt get detected. Last night everyting was fine, i turned off pc and went to bed. Now when bios loads, it gets stuck on System check(Foxconn Blackops), debug come is 75 which is IDE devices(the only IDE device is my cdrom). After about a minute it lets me into bios and on device list my main(os) hard drive isnt there. My case was closed so I took it out, no strange noises, no clicking.. any ideas? Hard Drive info: MaxTor DiamondMax 22 STM35000320AS, 500gb 7200
Can you tell us how old it is, connector condition, age of motherboard, damage, cease of functionality of other components (especially those connected to the Southbridge) etc... This was happening in a computer of mine, the drive may be failing, how old is it?
Hard Drive is 1 year old, everything else is working fine... I jsut installed windows on another hard drive. One thing is that my PSU sometimes makes this electrical sound for a short time then it stops. When I plug my Hard Drive(Maxtor) the Bios hangs a bit then everything goes to normal. Debugg screen motherboard in that period shows code 75. http://www.xtremesystems.org/forums/showthread.php?t=205999 75 detect & install all IDE devices: HDD, LS120, ZIP, CDROM etc My only IDE device is cd-rom, i tried to unplugging it, didnt help I 1st thought it something to do with circut so I took my adapter SATA to USB for 2.5 HDD and pluged it to my laptop. It got detected but it didnt install cos not enough power, that was i think anyway.
