I was making a little computer to run kazaa on constantly but the problem was the ram i had was too tall, double the size of normal sdram, and was touching the zalman coler on my graphics card. So i get the clever idea to steal some form my dads machine I get to the computer and press the power button, and it goes off and i start to remove the memory. Then i notice that the lan LED's are still on. Realising that the damn thing was in sleep mode i had to be very careful! I had removed one stick of ram already (which still works ) but the main problem was that there was a hard drive hanging freely in the case and was too close to the motherboard. I was too late with a quick flash the hard drive had short circuited the motherboard leaving a black soot on the hard drive as well as a big black patch on the motherboard! To my surprise the computer came on, but my hopes were dashed when it wouldnt recognise ne hard drives All in all 1 fragged socket 7 mobo
LMAO thats funny but not funny if you know what i mean So has he noticed yet, how did the HDD swing into the mobo or was it just touching anyway?
he had it standing upright in the case, so when i was reaching for the ram i must have pushed it back
i think the main problem wasnt that there was a hdd in the way, but you realised that it was still on and continued anyway :/
