They have GTX 16xx series graphics cards for seriously low prices, just wondering it they're too good to be true?
If you think its too good to be true, it probably is. I wouldn't go near them: Their address front and centre is 47 spring walks, and this is also their returns address, which is is a residential address. Their T&C page states they are actually enchantedair ltd, registered out of 47 spring walks. Checking companies House there are a LOT of companies registered there. Enchantedair ltd are registered as "Other business support service activities not elsewhere classified" so not listed as retail. Director is resident in the Philippines. Company has been around since Feb 20. Their returns page says it was last updated 1st November, but the ipenchant domain itself wasn't registered until 27th November this year. None of which fits with their "about us" page.
Also if you look up the domain information it was only registered 27-Nov-2021 so hardly the 'ngrown into one of the most trusted Electronic Accessories eRetailer store found online'. Also the business hours are in pacific standard time, which matches the Californian registration information. https://whois.domaintools.com/ipenchant.co.uk
Their hours of business "Monday through Friday: 10am to 6pm Pacific Standard Time" suggests they're not a genuine UK operation. I have ordered a GTX 1660 from them and can see the pending amount on my credit card providers app, I'll contact my bank first thing tomorrow to inform them I think the company aren't legit. The worst case will be that I don't receive the goods or the goods aren't as described or counterfeit, in which case I can claim back from the credit card provider, it's hassle though.
"Should I buy from this site that looks like a scam?" Everyone: "No, it looks like a scam." "I've bought from this site that looks like a scam..." Best of luck with your inevitable Section 75 claim, and maybe think about cancelling the card you used in case the very-obviously-a-scam-site operators decide to double-dip by selling your details on the black market.
I'd already placed the order before I posted in this forum, I wouldn't have done otherwise. It's a very polished site though...
Given the rather random nature of the total 14 products listed in their shop, there's a chance that it's one of those wholesaler/liquidation resellers and sorta legit. Like who scams on cut price GPUs alongside random Christmas decorations. I mean, it's definitely a scam though. Just to be clear.
So there's a chance it's legit but it's a scam? (confused) Anyway, their terms and conditions regarding shipping isn't consistent with what their website says - 3 business days vs 5-7 business days, which suggests the product will probably be shipped from the Far East and may well be fake/counterfeit gear. I've emailed them to cancel the order and they've replied to confirm that they've done so, so I guess I'll see what happens and will keep an eye on my card statements.
No, it's a scam. I was just giving them the benefit of the doubt, which you should not do, but I can because I'm not the one that ordered nor do they have my CC details.
Spring Walk in Gunville - I've half a mind to nip round there in my lunch break, knock on the door and ask to buy a couple of cards direct
