Modding Has anyone done their own powedercoating?

    I was just zipping around google and while looking for local places to powdercoat, i found the tools needed to do it yourself. I am asking for anyone's input on its ease of use and how well it looks compared to a professional job.

    Please, only respond if you have actually done the powdercoating yourself.

    In the same forum is a sticky on Powder Coating in general. Check out some of the finishes and read through peoples' experiences. Most PC is boring, grey filing-cabinet type, stuff, but when you see the real hot-rod metallics and so on that are possible...

    I'm going to price some powdercoating shops around my area.
    See if I can get someone enthused enough with my project that he/she'll do it for free/beer
