Small form factor case out of plexi? You guys were extremely helpful helping me find a good place to get acrylic plexi, and I got to thinking that I want to build a small form factor PC out of it. I was wondering if anyone had ever done this before, and if so, were they successful/frustrated by it. I was inspired by his review that I saw of the clear cover for shuttle PC's, and was wondering howfeasible this would be to do. Thanks
I'm working on this... Successful so far, haven't had any RFI problems whatsoever, it's my main rig BTW, and while incomplete, it works just fine. Here's another, from the side, Lovely stuff to machine, that acrylic...
Where'd you get the small form factor motherboard? I was thinking of trying to match shuttle's size spec's.
LOL Now THAT'S what I call watercooling... And, back OnTopic, I also made a cover for the original chassis out of smoked plexi, wasn't too hard, hardest bit was getting the bends on the top the right distance apart to match the chassis. Doable, for sure... There are some tiny P4 boards out there too now, keep your eyes open... Google P4BGA...
I finished this: http://www.geocities.com/tknd_/pinkbox/ Not completely acrylic, but it's something. Don't have real webhost at the moment so geocities it is...
Epia Sphere All acrylic. Mini-ITX but will work with every possible form factor. It is all about the size of sphere you can find.
