Do they fit on the Qtec?
I want to get a clear UV reactive case and clear fans and cable braid at the same time.

ARRRR.....beer on keyboard = half me keys not working :waah:

Anyway that was a 550 Q-tec with a green CCFL fan added and also a clear PSU cover and a Chrome Techflex braiding kit.

    Cover fits perfect :thumb:

yeah I saw what he did. I'm just going to get silent fans 21dba with 30cfm :) £8 a piece but worth it I think as they look really good too. Then get a UV reactive clear cover. Braid the cables UV orange and puts UV blue molex's on the ends. Going to do it over the easter break so have lots of time to do it.

    people that have done it.
Did you use the tool that you have to pay £11 for or the guide that is on bit-tech?

I used a needle to remove the small molex connectors. For the ATX connector I just used a larger braiding and managed to get the cables in parallel with the connector, it wasnt easy thou :)

Hey, ive got one of these...

Have to say.. those fans that come stock are bloody quiet!

Anyways, all i did to mine was "mod" the weight a little bit.. Got busy with the drill

Planning on doing a few things to it though, first being a smily face into the side via L.E.D's.. Don't really know why.. but its differnt to everybody elses..

Secondly being a set of ultrabrights on the opposite side pointing 45 degree towards the back of the case.. its a easy way to add some light.. without it actually being seen.

I want to finish the L.E.D face with UV paint round it, and a UV l.e.d uptop, well maybe two if needed.. just to add a little "custom look"

Meh, for £20 though you can't complain! Ive felt no power loss over my old enermax... Which i sold with my old system. Only downside is that switch at the back.. but i only used the switch like once a year so...

Yay, £20 you can't complain, anyone that wants one, go over to www.ebuyer.com

    Over and out,

    Jang

P.s sorry that wasen't really usefull, i just felt like typing :naughty:

    I like mine too.
I have heard from some people that the fans are noisy and other people like yourself say they are quite. Think its up to luck.

I have my new alpha pal8045 and silent NB heatsinks so will see what the sound levels are like around I have installed them.

I fancy a pair of these
there €11.90 or £7.97 or $14.71 (how nice am I lol)
at 26dB/A and 38cfm I can't say no. Ok they are pricey but I will see if I can get some maybe. Anyone got any of these.
They look nice so might get at least one for my alpha

I have 3 Noiseblocker USF S1 Fans in my Plexeon case. All of them connected to the mobo without any regulation. They are really silent. Can't judge the S3 version though. The S1 is rated at 11dB, the S3 at 23dB so i think you might want to considersome kind of regulation (undervolting or fanbus).

yeah I have a nice controller 6 channel. 23dB isn't very loud though.
Anyone know how much cfm I should have on my psu. If 22cfm I will get the quiter fans etc.
But of course I don't want it over heating and busting into flames and buring my house down and my laptop and my backup CD's that are in my laptop bag and the end of the world due to having silent fans :duh:

Have any of you seen the new qtec psu that uses one 120mm fan instead of 2x80mm? I saw them once but i cant remember where. It was rated around 24-28db i think.

You people.. You dissapoint me :waah:

Them fans push more then enough air.. i mean.. feel it at the back... its rather cool air comming out.. If its hot THEN change.. but .. Humm as someone said, might be luck..

Anyways.. If you want to Mod your PSU to make it a little cooler, at the back, buy a 80mm-92mm fan opener thingy.. mount that off the backend, and put a 92mm fan sucking it out instead..

On the psu where the little slits are, you can quite nicely put 2*40mm fans.. i remember seeing some mad ones not so long ago... crazy cfm to db ratio.

Anywho's... Its a good PSU.. like i said.. can't see any cons to this over my more expensive enermax i used to have.

Can someone please put a temp probe in there though.. lets see how hot they really are (Y)

    Over and out...

(you know whats comming next :thumb: ) Jang :D

    Jang thanks for the info.
I don't want to super cool it. I want to make it quite but I don't want it to over heat. Need to keep the good air flow that I have in my case at the moment so I will have to have a think.

I don't know what part of my last post you didn't read but..

Its cool enough  Most PSU's have only one fan.. this has 2 my friend.. 2 :thumb:

Like i said, feel the air comming out of the back.. its cool, or slighty cool... but thats good enough..

Don't touch the air flow, unless you randomly have more powerful fans without buying them. I can think of better ways to spend your money.

Meh, if you do insist on fan changing, don't change.. ADD

    Over and out,

    Jang
