And if so, what kind of performance gains did you see? I currently have 2 EVGA GTX 570's in SLI, and I'm trying to decide whether it is worth bunging my current cards up for sale and going for a single GTX 680. I should probably point out that I am currently only using a single monitor at 1920 x 1080. Any feedback would be appreciated!
Well, not exactly. I came from a single 570 and basically the 680 seems to be able to run most games in triple screen at the same settings as the 570 did returning very similar FPS, so that may give you an idea of what it can do single screen.
Thanks for the reply. After some more reading up on the GTX 680, I'm beginning to think it isn't an upgrade I'm going to benefit too much from at the moment. After all, my two 570's seem to handle the majority of games I play with everything set to maximum pretty well. They do get a little bit noisy though when under load, even at stock speeds (which I'm running at). I always feel the need to justify an expensive purchase such as a new graphics card. I'm kind of struggling to do so at the moment! If anyone else has any comments it would be good to hear them, thanks!!
