Don't feel sorry for me Uni, my daughter has had the best few days of her life and that means more than anything to me. Even a million pounds wouldn't come close!
I bought myself a new keyboard, which is nice if it's not exactly what I thought I had ordered. My family got me, A new full face helmet for mountain biking some new bike lights that are so bright they will melt through walls a t-shirt that has a bike on it (apparently my whole family went bike mad) a new bigger better camelbak (That's right, for bike riding) some key caps (imsto thick caps - lovely ) a book about haunted places in the UK and how to get to them (bit of a curve ball this one, but none the less some good weekend break ideas!) a bottle of gin some boxers (no socks though) my aunt bought me some towels that I think were meant for dolls house people as they don't even fit round my waist. My best friend bought me the limited edition vinyl of the album that has one of my favourite songs on it, and the vinyl's are orange and see through, which is my favourite colour. Pretty good haul this year - feel a bit spoilt. But I dished out some fairly heavy weight presents so fair is fair! Hope everyone had a lovely christmas
Loads but the best is a day on an enduro with ex world champion Dave Thorpe, thanks to my missus and honda
Whatever floats your boat Shirty! I forgot to mention, I bought myself all the stuff that's in my recent post in the latest purchases thread, and also am building myself another media/internet computer for the workshop at home But I don't know if gifts you buy for yourself count Media machine; It's going in a formerly beige, heavily modified (to fit) microATX mini tower, which is getting recycled because it fits in a specific space in the workshop It's been an annoyingly expensive month :/ Even more so, most of it has been annoyingly necessary
I didn't get a single present, but the joy was all I needed from watching my daughter's face and excitement from unwrapping the toys she longed for. Priceless!
Nothing for us this year, times are a bit tight. Had a nice meal with the wife and now it's time for a Firefly marathon. Well "nothing" is not quite true, my dad donated generously to our replacement car after ours had to be scrapped on our holiday this year. He also sent us some vouchers for Weatherspoons as he realizes the creature comforts (no matter how lowly) are the first to be abandoned when cash is short at hand.
Finally got a new office chair Marvel Planet Hulk graphic novel Marvel Chronicle Some smart clothes And Lego!!!
London Welsh second strip, Wii U with Mario U (which I set up at launch) and some sweets/socks as per normal. Great day at my sisters with kids and family that money can't buy.
My Mum got me a onesie because it would make her laugh. Mission accomplished. My Dad came to Taipei for 4 days on a flying visit, which was nice. My wife chose some French Sole And I'm getting a Nexus 7 32G as soon as I can blag a dock from the accessory dept aannnyy dayyyy nowww... until it's in retail come Jan. It's very hard to get festive when you're working all week
From me to me:- 55" 3D TV. 3D Bluray player. Plane tickets to Texas for August. From friends:- Assorted booze.
I got to spend some much needed downtime with my wife and two children, and to enjoy the festivities together. We had a great Christmas lunch yesterday, followed by us playing some board and parlour games and watching a film later on. We had a finger buffet with the extended family around in the evening. The kids were more than happy with their presents, and my wife and I exchanged a few small gifts with each other. Couldn't ask for more, nor would I want more. A very enjoyable seasonal holiday so far!
Cash from uncle / aunt and grandparents (already spent most of it on some new trainers) 3 piece pot and pan set from the parents (really needed these as mine at the end of their life). All in all a good chrimbo.

Forgot to mention I also got a couple bottles of cologne and some cash. Bought myself a few gifts today, namely steam games and guitar hero aerosmith for the lovely price of $4 new. Steam games included mass effect 1 and 2, the witcher 2, bastion, dark souls and dungeon defenders. I'll have to see what sales come up in 3 more hours!
