Graphics card? Or are you using a motherboard with integrated graphics?

Also, do you already have a monitor for the build?

Have you bought everything new? If not, there will be some cables that you might need.

Also have a think about tools that you will want to use. A couple of magnetic phillips head screwdrivers are generally needed (look for a number 2). Needle-nosed pliers, a small flashlight/torch, small wire snips ...

You can buy small kits pretty cheaply if you don't have any of these items.

Anti static wristband....or just touch something that is earthed like a radiator (make sure its an unpainted part) every 15mins.

Ive done this with the 8 PCs I've built and never had a problem.

If you bought the case new then it should have a basic acceptable number of fans. Many cases have cable routing holes, but some cable ties are still helpful if you dont have them.

I would need to know which case you have bought to help you further on these points.

What exactly are you going to use this computer for? Surely not gaming.

    Antec 300 on that one.

No, general computing and music production.

    What about thermal paste?

Feel free to pick up some arctic silver but your CPU cooler should come bundled with some decent paste.

With an Antec 300 you will need some cable ties as mentioned above, it will make life much easier getting the cables out of the airflow inside the case.

Do you know how many SATA cables you get with your motherboard? Make sure it is enough for your hard drive(s) and DVD.
