Not sure about all but here's what I remember Cyrix 233MMX (accidently OC'd and killed) 486 AMD Duron (333 I thin) P4 2ghz (when first came out) P4 HT 3ghz Core 2 duo 2ghz Had random other ones for spare PC's but those where main ones
Intel: Pentium 300MHz Pentium II 300MHz 2x Pentium II 400MHz (yes, same rig) Pentium III 1.2GHz Celeron 2.2GHz Pentium IV 3.2MHz (1st laptop) Core2Duo 7500 2.2GHz (current laptop) i7-760 (upcoming PC that's on pre-order ) AMD: Athlon 1.8GHz (about the same time I got my hands on those dual pentium II rig and the Pentium III) this was the only AMD CPU I had but it was a really good one imo, never had any problems with it...
If we're including FAMILY computers... that may change things... In chronological order. Intel 386 (Family) Intel 486 DX2 (Family) Pentium 200 Pentium 200 MMX AMD Athlon 800 AMD Athlon64 6400+ AMD Athlon FX57 AMD Athlon FX60 Intel Core 2Duo E6300 (Family) Intel Core i7-920 C0 Intel Core i7-920 D0 AMD Phenom II 550 Black Edition (Wife's) Intel Celeron E3200 ...still Intel.
i have had a very short oeriod of time in the computer industry and have racked up E2120 Q6600 I7 860 only intel as AMD hasn't made anything which has been worth buying in my time period still on my first graphics card though BFG 8800gt OC2
Stretching the memory here! 386 - No idea what Intel 66MHz AMD K6 200 PIII - Cant remember what Athlon XP 1800 Athlon MP 2600 Athlon MP 2600 (yep 2 of em as nature intended) Athlon 64 3700 Intel E7300 Think that is all of them.
Intel Pentium III 800MHz AMD Athlon 64 3500+ @ 2.2GHz AMD Athlon 64 X2 5200+ @ 2.7GHz Intel Atom N270 @1.6GHz/2.0GHz on mains supply My lovely current CPUs; AMD Phenom II 940 Black Edition @ 3.0GHz AMD Turion II M520 @ 2.3GHz (usually running at a 50% underclock to save power and reduce heat during boring stuff, aka not gaming) In each case it's come down to whichever was cheapest at the time but still gave the desired performance.
Still basically on my first rig which I put together about 6 years ago now and its had two processors AMD64 3500+ AMD64 X2 4200+ Both started at 2.2ghz and ended up about 2.8. Still going strong and rocking DDR400
Intel Pentium D Intel E6550 Intel Q6600 The Pentium D was kept at stock, the E6550 was a great little overclocker and ran no problem at 3Ghz, the Q6600 is my current CPU and it's running at 3.4Ghz. Would love to upgrade to an i7 setup but can't afford it yet
8MHz Intel 80386DX (first desktop) 150MHz Intel Pentium P54CS (second desktop) 266MHz Intel Mobile Pentium II 80522 (previous laptop) 3.0GHz Intel Pentium 4 HT 530 (previous desktop) 3.0GHz AMD Phenom II X2 545 (current desktop) 1.3GHz Intel CULV Core 2 Duo SU7300 (current laptop) I guess this is my first. And I love it.
AMD Athlon 1.33ghz (did me until 2007) X2 4600+ (overclocked to something or other) X2 6000+ (overclocked to 3.45ghz) Phenom 2 955BE (Overclocks to 3.7ghz, dam C2) Sempron 140 (dam thing wouldn't unlock grrrrr) Laptop has a celery processor or something but it bites balls.
Pentium 133 MMX (laptop) Pentium 4 2.26Ghz Pentium 4 2.8Ghz Core 2 Duo E4700 Core 3 Quad Q6600 Athlon 64 3500+ Orleans
Definately Intel for me. Currently I have running: i7 980x i7 920 Q9400 E8400 P4 3.8ghz (S775 - In a cupboard, used for fault finding) Previously Owned: Q6600 x 2 Q9450 E6850 E6700 Opteron 144 Athlon 4000 Athlon 4800X2 Athlon 3600 P4 3.2ghz P4 3.0ghz Before that I don't have records but there would have been about 3 or 4 more Intel's going back to a 486. Before those would have been a BBC Micro / 16k Spectrum / ZX81 / ZX80
Many cpus over the years ... both AMD and Intel. Currently in use (yes many in a home): AMD PhenomII X6 1090T BE (my Workstation/gamer) AMD AthlonII X2 245 (HTPC1) AMD AthlonII X3 435 (Kids gamer) AMD Phenom X4 9600 (Server) AMD Athlon 64 3800+ (HTPC2) AMD Athlon 64 3800+ (Spare machine in my home office) Intel C2D Q8200 (wifes rig) Previously owned Intel 286 - 12MHz Intel 386-DX 33MHz AMD Athlon 64 4400+ AMD Atlon 64 4200+ Intel C2D Q6600 Intel C2D QX6850 Intel C2D QX9650 AMD PhenomII X4 940BE AMD PhenomII X4 955BE AMD PhenomII X4 965BE C2/140W AMD PhenomII X4 965BE C3/125W

I imagine intel are way ahead... only in the P4 vs Athlon XP days were the tables turned. Even with the decent Phenoms you can get now, Intel still leads the way. For me, as best as I can remember it was: 486SX (25Mhz) (none of those piddling 386s for me - I started at the top!) 486DX2/66 Cyrix P166+ <--- something else in here, but can't remember --> Athlon XP1400+ (mobile version) P4 3.06GHz Core 2 E6600 Core 2 Q6600 i7 920 I've been an enthusiast for so long, yet that list doesn't seem very long. I guess I often upgrade everything in each machine multiple times, but not often the CPU...
I haven't owned many but here goes: Intel: Pentium 120 Celeron 500 AMD: Athlon XP 2600+ Athlon X2 1.6GHz (laptop) The laptop was a sidestep from the desktop Athlon XP, though I doubt it would stand up to much these days. I'm currently using a borrowed P4 3.2 Prescott, and have previously borrowed a Q6600. Next upgrade: i3 530.
