Im currently running a Sapphire radeon 9000 128mb ddr. It was working great until a few days ago where when i started a game, the monitor light would become yellow and I would get no picture signals at all. I got it to where it would run everything but Battlefield Vietnam but now it wont run anything again :waah: . I tried drivers, directx, nothing will work, I know its a software problem.. Should i just reformat or does anyone have a soloution?

    -Thanx

set everthing to application preference in display settings and try. Battlefield Vietnam is a complete **** up when it comes to AA/AF it seems :/

    ok... try this

when booting windows (i presume your using windows), just when the compter exits bios checks, etc. press and hold F8. this should give you options, including "safemode", "safemode with networking", etc. and also, "VGA mode". select VGA mode a press enter. this will basically boot windows into its preset defaults, like 600x480 (or 800x600, i can never remember). if it works in VGA mode, try altering resolution and maybe rebooting normally, if that doesnt work, try reinstalling drivers, DX, etc. in VGA mode, i hope that works for you.

Bindi you can probably get AA and AF to work perfectly with a little bit of tweaking. I use a softmodded 9800SE
with 3.9 codfix softmod drivers and it works ok for me now that i've tweaked it.

You should edit your videodefault.con with notepad. You'll find it in your
    EA GAMES\Battlefield Vietnam\Mods\settings

Change following line to a 1 instead of the default 0

    renderer.allowAllRefreshRates 1

Now you'll be able to select your refresh rate manually in BFV and FSAA will be enabled in game.
Then you need to disable shadows in game for AA to work properly without the glitches.
Then you need to install radlinker and use that to set your Anisotropic filtering to 8X forced,
or whatever setting you want to use. It has to be forced, otherwise you'll probably get glitches. Like this:

Works ok for me with these settings as you can see. :thumb:

Yea, id expect it for a BETA game, not retail though - hence buggerage.
