Man, AMD/ATi is really trying to pull away from Nvidia while they can and take advantage of the near flop that the 400 series was. Kudos to them
This all depends, as they stated last year that the HD 5000 series would be out near the end of October 2009 and in the end they brought the date forward by a month (Sept 2009). This maybe the case this year, as AMD/ATI have had a good year to improve the architecture of the HD 5000 gpu's. There are alot of site stating AMD/ATI are only tuning the HD 5000 series architecture for the new HD 6000 series, so we won't be expecting any new architecture from AMD/ATI this year. Simon.
What I'm more interested in than a HD 6970 is seeing if they'll roll out a HD 6770 or HD 6830 or HD 6850 that has better bang for the buck than the GTX 460.
