Graphics HD4850 DDR5?

    That's curious ... I wonder why anyone would do that type of revision right now. DDR5 will certainly increase the memory bandwidth, but the card is hobbled by the lack of RAM (512MB), and of course the GPU is getting on.

    I'd guess that in most situations these days you'd be better off with a 1GB DDR3 version?

    Damn those newegg prices are cheap ...

    There isnt a DDR5 card listed on sapphires site so im guessing its just a typo, unless its sapphire using up bits and bobs they've got lying around.

    EDIT: Palit/Gainward released DDR5 cards so it might not be a typo.

    Did the 4890 use GDDR5?Maybe overclocking the nuts off the GPU you might get good speeds

    My guess, it's just a simple defective HD4870 batch they had under a shelf or something.
