    Hi

first of all this is my first post, so im not sure this is the right place for this post. :D
    ok
    here it goes:

    HDD Box 4 X 500gb (no raid)
the meaning of this box is, that i have got 4Hdd's from Lacie
    http://http://www.lacie.com/us/products/product.htm?pid=11050
there is 1 problem, it is using big power adaptors
so i need to find a way to use only 1 power source
and my server has only 3 USB connections

ive made a drawing to show u what i like to make

    HDD's to Lan version
    http://users.telenet.be/section_8/hdd_box.JPG
    (warning: image is kinda big)

    HDD's to USB version

    (warning: image is kinda big)

this could work perfectly, but i want to make sure if there is any other way to do this
its like making a cheap raidbox without the raid
but the usb to lan convertor is woking on usb 1.1
or i can say that i dont use the USB to LAN convertor and use a usb hub
the USB hub can be cheaper and more usefull
i have a 10/100 network router with 1 spare connection left
and the hdd's are shared on the network on my server
so it does not matter if it goes by lan or usb, it will be shared anyway

    the tools:

Nice design, I like it. And welcome.

I hope all those SATA->USB and USB->LAN adapters daisy-chained together will work, I would just think that having that many adapters could result an incompatibility.
