Whenever my HDD is accessed, any sound that I play, especially songs in winamp get annoying 'static-sounding' interference. Any help?

are your songsbeing played from the same hdd? Maybe they are just skipping a bit. If your speakers are close to your pc try moving them away. Also try mover the sound card as far away from the hdd as possible. Maybe put the soundcard in the bottom pci slot and the hdd in the higest hdd slot.

I have never heard of this before :)

I used to have that problem when my internal modem was accessed, try some different drivers for the soundcard possibly. If it's just started happening and was fine before I would just reinstall windoze :D
