Electronics HDD Motor!

    well, ive got this old motor out a hdd today, and i thought why not mak it into a fan :) or something cooler :) so i was wondering about the pins, ther are 4 of them...

    OOOO
    1 23 4

    2 and 3 seem to make it move, but i was wondering what the other ones did, or in fact if they are bad ones to make it move on :) also what kind of voltage it needs, 12 or 5? thanks!
