I just put together my dads computer, but it won't recognize my HDDs. Its a DFI Ultra-Infinity motherboard and SATA WD 150 GB 16MB cache Raptor and a 500 GB IDE Maxtor. I've tried the Maxtor on another computer so I know it works.

Whenever I try to boot, I get a message "no boot disk detected. insert boot disk and press enter to continue." What should I do?

Thats because you have no Operating system installed, the boot disk warning is saying that the drives haven't had their boot sectors initialised by an OS installation.
