My HD555s snapped last night in the usual place. They are about 7 years old though and have been properly put though their paces (extended daily usage, commuting and generally thrown about). Couldn't recommend Sennheiser HDs enough - very comfortable, decent sound and have been very durable (apart from cracks which appear but they have been there years now). I've taped the area where they broke and intend to use them until they can no longer hold together.
go for plantronincs 380 gaming headset they come with 2 years warranty and the build quality is great any company that offers 2 years warrenty on their products must have faith in their products
my soundblaster arena's broke yesterday, the usb connection is bent and took off the casing to investigate and one of the wires has come away from the solder point. Not entirely sure what functionality i have lost but it looks like a new pair may be on order.
