I am thinking about picking up a heater core for my loop and I am really not sure what to expect. I have heard people talk about chev/bonnie HC's but I do not know what I should go with. I would like to know the size/material(inner, copper would be great) of each and how hard it is to get barbs on them. I don't know what the right way to attach barbs would be, but I am pretty handy with tools and a simple how-to would be helpful. By the way, Id like to use something that can fit 2 120mm fans if I can.

Well theres 100s of differant cores out there that will work but these are probably to most common ones that are used.

For a single 120mmfan you will want a Chevette core

For twin 120mm fans you will want a Caprice core

Both would be brass + copper combo or simpaly copper throughout

Better ones (single pass) can be found if you dont mind looking but most are known only by there part numbers and unfortunatly i dont know what they are.

    hope that helps ya

That does help, now that I've got a name (caprice) I should be able to figure everything else out. Thanks for pointing me in the right direction.

Sweating barbs may be interesting... I'll see how it goes.
