    Hello,
I just bought a 9600xt with stock cooling as well as a zalman vf700 cooler.
I was wondering if anyone has a link to installing the a cooler on 9600 or if a forum with pictures of removing the stock fan from the card.
If anyone also has setting of chip and ram settings for this card it would be helpful as well.

    Jon

Zalmans website should have an installation guide, they usually have one for each product.

Ooh! Have it running for 10mins or so, just for it to warm up. Remove pushpins, and gently (very gently) twist and pull the cooler off. I've never killed a core this way.

(Don't kill me, if you do)

Make sure you turn the computer off and take the card out before you remove the pushpins. :thumb:

Yea, its obvious to some people, but you NEVER know. Its good to tell people everything. :D

I'm not saying the original poster is one of these people, but ya never know. You dont want him running back yelling at you because he fried his card and his mobo :worried:

thank you shadowed_fury for tip on how to remove the stock cooler.
went on fairly easy except the fan blades interfering with the screw holes.
