So after putting about 70 hours into BC2 and getting good at it, i decided to fire up COD4 to see what's up. I join my favorite hardcore HQ server and after two maps i nearly pass out from the pain.

Right off the bat my old preferred sensitivity was way too high, so i dropped it to default but that didn't help any. GUYS I LOST MY TWITCH!!!!! I can't survive in COD4 HC anymore. In a face to face encounter i die before i could say "oh there you are", let alone take aim. I used to be the bee's knees in this game and now i have to start over!

    :'(

I know how you feel. If you think that's bad, try counter strike source. I don't even bother playing anymore (mostly though just because I can't play with decent ping on uk servers).

The same thing happened to me two days ago. I went back to cod4 after a year of hiatus (sp?) and I couldn't do crap because my mouse sensitivity was way too high even though it was set to the minimum and because this game is not well balanced at all. The gameplay and netcode are great in cod4 but the maps are so small and the kill streaks so retarded , they take the fun out of the game as soon as there are more than 5 players on each team.

I love the gameplay and netcode of this game though... Going back to BC2 feels like firing at ghosts while moving in a huge ocean of treacle. Not fun

got the same thing. played a couple MW2 games and found myself at bottom of the ranking. used to be pretty good and able to semi-quick-scope.

although i did became very good with FAL in MW2, and M14 in BFBC2. both gun share some similarity.

so perhaps you can find a similarity between both games and then try to perfect in that

I get the same; bullet drop and travel time make me compensate for things that don't exist in the other games :(

I'm still kicking arse in CoD4. That said, I'm only lvl28 in BC2 and haven't ever really stopped playing CoD4, instead I've played BC when I feel like team play/objectives and CoD4 when I want to be able to hit what I'm aiming.

Agreed. In BC2, we are forced to concentrate on bullet drop (if you're recon), walls disappearing in front of your eyes, etc. You don't need look for the guy that fires sniper rifles from the hip and that sort of thing (at least not that i've seen :worried:)

In my view, MW is very fast paced. I've always struggled with it. BC2 on the other hand, i just settled into nicely from the start.

Give it time mate. Practice makes perfect.

I found the opposite, went back to MW after a month or so of solid BC2 and I was way better! I suck at the shooty parts of BC tho, never remember to compensate for anything

Oh man. That's a real tough switch.

What? I have to buy my weapons?
    Shift walks rather than sprint?!
Shotguns are decent weapons past 15 feet?
I have to draw my knife first and it doesn't one shot people?!

And the most confusing one: I can't look down my sights?!

Certainly rocks a person's work. I find it somewhat funny, though, that many people (myself included) complain about how long it takes to kill people in normal mode BC2/MW. Look at CS:S where only two non-sniper weapons get one hit headshots, or the true Battlefields which can see an SMG taking nearly 10 chest shots to kill. It always puzzles me a bit when going back for a game of CS:S.
