Hey all, Im about to change up my system to an i7 860 + Gigabyte GA-H55M-UD2H board. So, i need to get some DDR3, Dual channel memory. It just so has it that they are on Scans 'Today only' page, but there are quite a few different types of this ram, so i wondered if you guys could point out the best ones for me? #3 is for AMD chipsets, so not that one. #1 and #2 are practically the same, except the memory latency is better for #2. You're overclocking, right? Might be beneficial there, but I don't know whether #2 being CL8 as opposed to CL9 is worth £10 difference or not.
1. Save your money. Shame we don't have Newegg in the UK tbh, you'd get far more brand choice and competition.
Thanks Bindi - much appreciated. Just dug out my CPC and they also recommend the 9-9-9-24 sticks. Yes i will be overclocking. Im going to hang on and see if anything pops up in the market place over the next day or so.....Otherwise il go new
8GB kits aren't that much money these days, if you want to spend more on something: go for that $90 in the US right now
8gb kit would be £99 for 1300MHz stuff http://www.scan.co.uk/products/8gb(...cc-unbuffered-cas-9-9-9-24-new-connector-160v and £116 for the 1600MHz http://www.scan.co.uk/products/8gb-...600)-non-ecc-unbuffered-cas-9-9-9-24-xmp-165v Cant stretch that far im afraid. Unless a freindly person on the marketplace wants to take my money for something like this lol
