Having trouble with my pc freezing first my hardware:
    Gigabyte P67A-UD7-B3 latest BIOS f7
Two times gigabyte 6950 1GB Oc edition video cards
    I7 2600
Gskil rip jaws 2x4GB modules on the supported memory list.
    Coolermaster silent power gold 1000w
    2x 2tb samsung f3
OK ever since I built the pc I got the odd blue screen but BIOS updates fixed this almost completely.
Tat was on windows 7. I am now running the windows 8 release candidate and I am getting so many freezes its almost unusable in about 5 hours today I got about 20 freezes. When it freezes everything stops except the mouse. There is no event in event viewer. I have run mem test (12 hours)on the ram, tried running only one video card at a time and have removed the CPU to check the socket pins all OK no errors.
I also downloaded gpu stress test the one of the spinning earth that gets bigger and smaller, with this test as soon as I do something else at same time I get a failed result but if I don't do anything else I ran it for 8 hours no error I also installed occt I think that's what its called and 9 times out of 10 the computer will freeze when I try and run the gpu test. Wondering any other way to check the video cards I am getting zero artifacts and it never freezes during gaming more so when watching video or surfing. So really dont think its the video cardsAny ideas what else I can do to troubleshoot? :wallbash:

Is installing Windows 7 an option? Or, before that, try removing one of the Graphics cards and test it like that. It could be the graphics driver causing it.

Might be worth installing this, if you haven't already: AMD Catalyst™ Driver Windows® 8 Release Preview

Edit: Actually, looking at the release notes for that Driver, BSOD with some Crossfire configs is a known problem. Your cards aren't listed explicitly but it wouldn't surprise me if it's the Crossfire causing it. Like I said, pull one of them out and test it again.

Yea I tried them seperatly today I get freezing with either card or both also getting freezing with one stick of ram(either) in any of the 4 slots. At the moment I have dual boot( seperate hdds) and am getting freezing on windows 7 had freezing with windows 7 only and freezing with windows 8 consumer preview only. Really don't think its the os either. I have the latest amd release preview driver installed have tried reinstalling the driver clean again today. Today I didn't get any blue screen just 99 percent lockups.everything freezes except mouse Before windows 8 came along I was prob getting 1 bsod or freeze a week which was annoying but still usable. But now it seems to be getting worse.
Edit also I have a G19 keyboard and a G5 mouse but have tried different keyboard and mouse just about ready to buy a different motherboard.
