Windows help i have a trojan horse dropper.small.6.1

    avg come up with this

    is fond in file
    C:\system volume information\_restore{662a0f15-60e0-48ee7-574390a42c37}\rp34\a0004265.exe

    this keeps comeing up and it says to run AVG but it does't find anything any idea please

    Turn system restore off, then run your anti-virus software and if it still doesn't find it try another anti-virus software.

    Since it is in a restore file, you may want to clear your restore points through disk cleanup (although I don't think it will clear the most recent).

    Try downloading the free version of Trojan Hunter or Trojan Remover. They should be able to find and kill it. Both have 30 day free trials.

    If your in WinXP PRO then right click on the that system volume information folder and add your username to the access list... then run the virus scan on the folder and it can get in there and 99% cleans the file up fine :) Then go back to properties and remove your username back to how it was before again.

    If your in WinXP Home you do exactly the same but have to install a small XP patch to allow the "Security" tab - search google for it...
