My Samsung 172V TFT has started to flicker slightly? I havnt done anything to it and the other screen on my dual setup is fine. I've had it a few years and its been used daily since, do i need a knew one? I;ve unplugged and re-plugged everything. Its not a huge flicker and is more visable on dark colours.

    Any ideas?
    Mike

    tried degaussing?

Could just be a static build up?

Also check no pins are bent or loose on the cables.

    It's an LCD :eyebrow:

It sounds like the backlight might be on its way out - luckily, they're relatively cheap to replace. It's also possible that there's a loose connection; replace the power cable and check it's all secure.

It does sound to me like a backlight dying, but this is good in that it doesn't mean you have to buy a new screen.

Well, if its a physical problem, then it sounds like a bad connection.

    Tried smacking it?
