Build Advice Help needed, first time builder eager to learn

    This is why I alway's buy the TRUE cooler even with the fan on it wont block the first memory slot.

    It doesn't work and I dont know why.

    Powers up but screen is blank, and monitor is working, I'm baffled.

    Take graphics card and RAM out, then put it all back together carefully. Then try, if still not working, let us know.

    should I maybe remove cooler and try the RAM in DIMM1? or do you think there's no need?

    It is possible that it needs the ram in the primary slots.

    Did you get a stock cooler with the cpu if you did it might be an idear to try it with that.

    Dont try it without a cooler.

    Post the full specs ie what board and cpu you bought would make it easier to do a bit of research for you.

    Well removed the artic cooler, using the stock, RAM in DIMM1 and still nothing..

    problem solved, 4pin connector from PSU not attached to motherboardm duh.

    One other thing I noticed is the ram you have is 1.6v and on the MSI site it say's that board supports 1.5v ram probably's ok but just a thought.

    Glad its working though.
