Hello everyone!!! Planning to build my own computer case from wood (First time). I can't do it from metal, because my woodshop class doesn't do metal(sadly...) I was thinking about making a case that is going to be similar to the CM Scout... But I really need plans for it (can't find those nowhere... Tried to make my own, but teacher needs "plans" from online...) Any ideas for the kind of case I should make??? I mean I need as much airflow as possible... Because my CPU been running at about 40C with the CPU fans at max... (CM Hyper n520) Thanks, I got some time... PS Also been looking at the Projects that some people made... Phinix's Cube killed me All those projects been really nice But still I need GOOD airflow for my case... Also might consider a "pyramid" shaped cases(look really cool)
for wooden cases check out slipperyskip.com and shoot him an email, i certainly do not speak for him, but if he can't provide you with some decent plans, he might know where you can find some.
Thanks dude))) I've made my own plans, and my teacher liked them, but one more problem... This thing will take some cash out of me Sadly, but it's gonna look awesome when I'm gonna finish it... BTW heard of sponsorships, but don't know how they work, and what they can do (First case mod, and stuff. I'm really new to this)
It's very unlikely that you'll get sponsorship on your first build, however if you have a detailed enough set of designs and some other projects under your belt (something to show that you can finish something) then there's a minute chance. Most of the time people don't get sponsorship until they get near the end of their project. Allow me to refer you to here for more information.
Yup)) Thanks I've read that topic today))) But Thanks anyways))) BTW My project is going to kind of look like an "Absolute Zero" (http://forums.bit-tech.net/showthread.php?t=173955) BUT guys please DON'T think that I've stole somebody's idea... I mean...I was thinking about pyramid case for a long time, but had no chance of doing it... (Broke as ****, and no chance that I coul've finished my project by the end of last school year) PS Had barely finished my avatar (I mean the parts(didn't put it as my avatar here yet)) Had to put it together at home... Nevermind, I've got everything planned out, and hopefully will star building in about a week or so )) May be next monday will go shopping 4 fans, controller, some plexy glass, & video card + some other parts Any color suggestions??? Because I kind of wanted to go with the Blue CM LED 120mms due to Allied Logo being as a fan grill (It's from Red Alert 2) And this is how the case should look like when I'm gonna finish with it... PS The Pyramid is basically clear plexy glass Thanks)))
Thats a very nice design my friend I admit I am impressed! If you will add blue fans I suggest silver or black or white depends on your overall design. Ex. : blue fans, silver exterior and black or white sleeving as a combination! Good luck with the project mate!
Thanks! Was accually thinking about going glossy black on case, and fan griles to be silver Plus some kind of a design (barbed wire/flames) on the case ))
