Memory Help needed

    im building my first rig. my motherboard can take dual ddr3 ram, so i'm looking to buy 4gb of ram for about £100

    first off does anyone know what brands are good? links would be helpful.

    i found this on the net, anyone know if they're any good?

    oooooh, almost forgot the ram can only be a max of 1600mhz

    i usually just buy whichever ram has the prettiest heatspreaders. it's worked out well for me so far.

    RAM speed generally makes less than 1% difference in performance once you have the right amount. As stated earlier, for overclocking you do want good ram but otherwise it doesn't matter much at all.

    If you do buy more expensive RAM it isn't guaranteed at that speed on all motherboards anyway as I sadly seem to be discovering.
