2500mhz @ 1.6v, thats kinda low, jump up the voltage, it should be fine, set it to like 1.8v or so and then work ur way down till unstable or work ur way up till stable
My mobile needs 1.8v to do 2500MHz stable, looks like you've got a good one. Just pump up your vCore, watch the temperatures, and make sure your cooling's sufficient. A bootblock mod is a motherboard mod for the P4P800 board, so it doesn't really concern your hardware
Just pump up the vcore to 1.8-1.85v, not more when you are running whit air. Or maby its just your processor thats cant go any higher, could be.
AFAIK the XP-M 2400+ & 2500+ are slightly preferred over the XP-M 2600+ because they use lower default voltage which is taken as a sign of a better o/c'ing chip. Still 2.4ghz (XP3500+) is a great o/c, not as high as many have managed but with just 1.60v that's great (and presumably Prime stable, not just able to boot LOL). The Bartons normally use 1.65v so don't be afraid to use that, the more cautious o/c'ers among us would use no more than 1.75v. You should have PCI/AGP locked (33/66mhz) and this directly relates to your IDE, as such your HD should not be any kind of bottleneck at all. So long as you stay at 200/400FSB with RAM 6:6 you're RAM shouldn't mind whether the CPU is at 3ghz or 1ghz, so you should be able to rule that out too. You could scour your BIOS settings but if you can get 2.4ghz there's unlikely to be anything set wrong. If you're a gamer rem to o/c (or upgrade) your gfx card too!
Yup, it makes no sense but plenty of people have reported it as being slightly better for o/c'ing than 1:1.
