i have got a duron 800 computer,i have tested the hardrive,graphic card,ram,etc and the computer will not appear on the monitor??any one help me?
OK, if you can supply more information then it might be easier to help. You say you tested HD, GFX, and RAM. Did you test those parts in a different system, or did you try different parts in your system? What happens when you switch the computer on i.e. fans start, drives spin up ... ? Are there any beeps when you switch the power on? When did this problem start and did you do anything before this happened? Could you tell us what mobo you have also? From the limited info you gave i would say either motherboard or GFX but this is really a stab in the dark with the lack of detail
I am assuming you get power, all fans are running but no display? If so then: Re-seat graphics card, Re-seat RAM CLEAR CMOS remove any recent hardware changes make sure the CPU fan is actually running if none of the above helps: Disconnect power from the mains, Put CMOS clear jumper in clear position Remove battery from mobo for about 10 - 20 mins Put battery back in, Put cmos jumper back to normal power up. If that doesnt work try a spare PSU if you have one. As you say you have tried pretty much everything else in another system (i assume) then its probably CPU or mobo.
